Things around the house I love!

With Ryan gone to LA, I have plenty of time to myself...especially after the kids go to bed at 7:00! I was walking through the house tonight picking up from the day and just started noticing some little things that made me once again appreciate and love being a mom of multiples. If you don't have multiples, you should really give it a try! It is the best!

Here are some things that caught my attention as I went through wiping up cracker crumbs and spitty burp rags all over the house tonight:

  1. I love that my shirt looks like this at the end of every day...

  2. I love that every morning when I go down to get my coffee (thanks baby...it somehow doesn't get made as much when your not here...sniff, sniff) this is what I get to see...

  3. I love that when I hang my keys up I see this...

  4. I love that my upstairs bathroom sink is always full of bottles!

  5. I love that I have two highchairs in my kitchen!

  6. I love that there are always two car seats on my kitchen table!

  7. I love that I get to walk past these pics every time I leave my room.

  8. And most of all...I LOVE that I get to kiss these two precious babies multiple times before I finally go to bed.

Being a mom of twins is truly the greatest blessing God has ever given me. Even after suffering through this week with the 'ol hand, foot & mouth virus and lots of sleepless nights, I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world.

*Disclaimer...yes, my kids are only sleeping in diapers when they have adorable jammies (they just like this better)...yes, that is spit up in poor little Keaton's bed...and yes, my kids beds look like something from an orphanage because they both were trying to smother themselves in their cute little bumper pads. One day we'll have cute, CLEAN beds once again!

First of all- hats off to you for managing twins alone, especially twins with a virus. I always call for back-up in the evenings (my mom) when Tad is out of town. Second- your video is too cute! I'm still trying to figure out how to post those. Keep them coming. Finally- yes multiples are a blessing. It is all we know and we love it! So many of your pictures remind me of our life too. I hope things go well while Ryan is away and the kiddos are bouncing back to normal soon. Take Care.

So sweet...and I can totally relate to the spit-up shirt. Clayton's bed was always stained with spit-up. Poor things. I tried to keep the Ultimate Crib sheets cleaned but finally gave in to once every couple of days since he spit up at every naptime and bedtime...I'd be washing sheets continuously!

First of all, it is so great hearing from you! Thanks for letting me know you are out there!
Secondly, your children are precious!!!! I can relate to everything you are saying. Yes, being a mom in general is amazing, but being a M.O.M is the BEST!!!!

I can't believe you were doing this past week on your own either. WOW!!!!

Keep in touch~Janell

Melissa, I love your posts. They are so precious. I am so amazed that you are doing so well by yourself. If Jon goes out of town I either go or call for backup. I love your sweet pictures. Your a great mommy.
